Cortijo Bujio

Bujio is an old Gypsy word
meaning 'hidden place'
The name 'Bujio' is an old Gypsy word meaning 'hidden place'. This one was built in 1877 as a farmhouse. Set in the olive groves near Montefrío, Granada, Bujio now serves as a country retreat where you can inhale the beauty and authenticity of Andalusia. Imagine yourself sitting underneath ancient grapevines, overlooking mountains with olive trees, and in the distance the Sierra Nevada.
Furnished with a view to modern comfort and style, Bujio combines elements of the Moorish with the original character of an Andalusian farmhouse (Cortijo). In creating this stunning environment, every effort has been made to reuse existing materials. White wash walls, traditional exposed beams and flag stone floors combine perfectly with the rural beauty of the property's surroundings.
